CREATE OPT-IN FORM

Now we are going to create a form to put onto our webpage (we will get to the webpage in the next module). This form is very simple to create as aWeber have a selection to choose from.

Select WEB FORMS, then select +CREATE WEB FORM:

The screen will return a page like this:

You can select whatever you like, but for this purpose I have clicked on POPULAR and then for the RED ARROW OPT IN box.

Next, click on the template of your choice and it will load, then proceed to step 2:

Enter the details as shown above, SAVE web form and then go to step 3
You will see a page like this and select the option indicated:

The next screen will look like this but don’t get worried about the code as you are just going to COPY & PASTE THIS LINK IN TO YOUR CONTROL SHEET.
To copy the code, just place your cursor somewhere in the code, hold Ctrl and A keys together and this will select all the code in the box. Then hold CTRL and the C keys and this will copy the code. Now paste the code into your CONTROL SHEET as we will need it later for the web page.
The code represents the OPT IN box and instructions for what the systems does with respect to recording the clients name and email address, directions to the opt in email and re-direction to the webpage. The code itself is nothing for you or me to be concerned about:

So that’s it. Although there seems a lot to do, many of the actions we have taken are “one offs” in opening new accounts and setting things up.
For future websites you will speed through this training very quickly

Now we are set up ready to create our first web site!

Are You Paying Attention?

By · Comments (0)

Isn’t it funny how thirty people can listen to the same speaker and have thirty different responses.

I’ve done it myself – sat in a room listening to someone speak and thought how boring or irrelevant their talk was. But later on, comparing thoughts with others, find that they thought the speaker was wonderful.

We can all project our knowledge to the world at large – but the world isn’t always listening.

Some days I get emails that say how the writer felt that this newsletter was talking directly to them, and in the same inbox others say that they didn’t think much of the edition.

It isn’t in the speaker, it is in the listener.

There is no solution. We are all different and have different needs right now.

The only advice I can offer is that we all should take notes even if the subject matter doesn’t seem to be exactly what we want. Because, tomorrow it might be.

Our needs change. Sometimes we NEED a reminder of something basic, sometimes we NEED to be stretched.

Whoever you are listening to – whether a family member or a public speaker – pay active attention. there might just be something in what they are saying that you will NEED tomorrow.

Now remember to record your Log in details and nickname on the CONTROL SHEET.

So, having done this let’s move on to finding the product we are going to promote…

Going Bananas!

By · Comments (0)
My favorite fruit is the banana, and I have always been fascinated to see great columns of them growing on their huge palm-like trees.

So it has come as a shock to learn that I’ve been wrong all these years:

Bananas are not fruits – they are berries.

Banana trees are not trees – they are the world’s largest herb, closely related to the lily.

Can you learn to learn you can?

By · Comments (0)
Do you have limiting beliefs?

Of course you do! We all do. And almost every one is false.

Successful people always assume they CAN do something and then set out to prove it.

Everybody else assumes they CAN’T do something and then set out to prove it.

Just for today, put your limiting beliefs to one side. Let your mind do a 180-degree flip and see the world through the eyes of a super-success.

I have a saying in my seminars:

“Can you learn to learn you can?”

Try saying that backwards and you’ll get the idea.

Richard Wiseman, in his book ‘Did You Spot the Gorilla’ (a highly recommended paperback about research into luck) tells a great story.

He ran an experiment where he asked people to sit down with a newspaper and count the number of photographs inside.

Half way through the paper was a half-page ad that said in big type, ‘Win £100 by telling the experimenter that you have seen this.’

Previous to the ‘experiment’ all the subjects had been asked to rate themselves on a luckiness scale.

Most of the people who thought themselves lucky spotted the ad and won the money.

Most of the people who felt unlucky didn’t see the ad.

Their conclusion is that both groups had the same opportunity, but the unlucky ones were focused on the task in hand so much that they could see opportunity when it was staring them in the face. The lucky people, even though they still managed to count photographs perfectly well, maintained a wider vision that allowed them to grab at unexpected chances.

My conclusion is this:

‘If you want to get lucky, take off your blindfold.’
